Gomez Meadow

Death Canyon Creek, a godawful place for a morning swim.

A bit chilly on these mornings...

Gaining elevation, back into the snow. Looking at a lot of snowy peaks we were headed towards.

Luxurious dry rock for our lunch stop at our new highest elevation, 10,700 feet.

Overlooking Owens Dry Lake alongside the 395 in the distance.

Triumphant Amped overlooking the Owens Valley.

Road Dog trucking through the snow drifts on the way to Diaz Creek. Not pictured: lost Fireball.

Twisty tree. Taking pictures was a nice excuse to stop slogging through the soft afternoon snow...

Muddy snow gear from the day's brutally mixed conditions.

Farm boy tending to his tent site.

Complete with rain gutters and everything!

A nice campfire to dry boots and lift morale.

Some snow art near camp. Overly pretentious, if you ask me.

Is this right?
