Bolton Creek.

Holy massive snowbridge!

Bolton Creek... damn cold and damn beautiful.

Pete dropping down into a hidden hallway between the snow and the cliffband.

Bolton Creek, struggling to make an appearance in the heavily snow-bridged section of the creek.

Hiking back along the south bank of Bolton, after all that stress of making it safely to the north bank...

Beginning the crawl up and out of Bolton Canyon.

Pete and Nick skittling (definitely a word) their way up and out of Bolton Canyon.

There's worse places to hike, I suppose...

I'd always flip through photos of my stretches with Melanie when I saw her next, so sometimes I'd scratch messages into the snow/dirt for her to come across later. I'm sure Pete and Nick were thankful for one more thing to slow me down...

The view from our breakfast spot, overlooking the frosted granite domes in Stubblefield Canyon.

Pete scouting the way ahead.

Heading down through the steep forest to Stubblefield Creek.

Log spanning the first tributary of Stubblefield Creek.

On our way to Falls Creek. Even fallen trees become art out there....

The ice hole I went for a swim in. Good times.
